ellenberger wins iF-award for washstand

For 60 years, the iF product design award has been an internationally recognized label for award-winning design and the iF brand has become a symbol for outstanding achievements in design.

We are delighted to let you know that – out of more than 3000 entries – the washstand as part of our PRIVATE SPACE FURNITURE COLLECTION has won an iF product design award 2014 and will be recognized with the renowned iF label!

Since living room and kitchen have been growing together as the public spaces of a private home, this furniture collection meets the same trend taking place at the private areas such as bath and bedroom. The washstand is based on the tradition of a washstand pitcher which was used on a simple table. Clear and straight design, white and soft colors combined with natural wood create an atmosphere of comfort, ease and recreation. Next to a mirror and storage units, it is now also available in a wall mounted version with drawer. Its two-level counter top is molded out of one piece and combines functionality and aesthetics to install a more open space within home.

In 2006 Jannis Ellenberger established a studio for product- and interior design in Bremen, Germany, which offers design services to manufacturing companies and is mainly working on designs of furniture, lighting and accessories.
Next to his collaboration with several national and international companies he realized a furniture collection running under the label of his own studio. Since one year he operates an exclusive online shop offering the furniture of his collection next to further select items he designed for other labels.

For upcoming furniture fair in Milan he will join forces with Austrian design studio MARCHGUT for a concerted show within Ventura Lambrate. As a kind of retrospective, both studios will present highlights of their past works as well as newly introduced products.
